Need Gum Gone? Chewing gum removal is a sticky situation, whether it is on your concrete, parking lot or on the side of a building, gum eventually turns into a black smudge on concrete. But usually before that happens, visitors and clientele coming into a store or office will step on the gum and get it in all over your carpets, rugs and mats. Then it is embedded deep into the carpet and into the porous surface of concrete, just waiting for another person to step in it again, to carry it somewhere else.
We are happy to provide gum removal as one of our commercial pressure washing services in Pembroke Pines FL. Find information about our service below:
The best methods of removing gum from concrete depends on the gum’s age and the level of penetration into the concrete surface. If the gum was left recently and it has not penetrated the surface, we are sometimes able to remove it by covering it with ice until the gum freezes, then scraping it off with a metal putty knife.
The ice forces the chewing gum to freeze into a more forgiving substance compared to a gooey and stringy mess. Once the gum is frozen, we slide a metal putty knife or scraper under the gum residue. After that we slide the scraper slowly under the gum and the entire piece should then peel right off the concrete.
The above process is only possible with brand new gum.
When we remove chewing gum that is already black, or is already smashed deep down into the concrete, we use a hot water pressure washer with the heat turned up to 200 Degrees in order to melt the chewing gum. For this type of gum removal, we won’t use very high pressure because that could harm the surface of the concrete!
Our crew never uses more pressure than needed to clean concrete surfaces. These surfaces can be damaged much easier than most people think, especially if they’re only a few years old. Concrete can need up to 100 years to cure. That is why we always use hot water and the least amount of pressure possible for our professional gum removal professional.
To completely remove gum from concrete and other surfaces we use custom designed hot water power washing equipment and special soaps that enable us to effectively clean the surface without causing any damages.
Using special 200 degree hot water pressure washers and low pressure equipment, we can safely remove chewing gum and surface dirt all while protecting the surface. Our service will also eliminate bacteria and germs that can be found in gum.
By hiring Pembroke Pines Pressure Washing for routine maintenance cleaning at your store or office, your commercial property will have better curb appeal and your gum removal problems will be dealt with! You will also ensure less damage to carpets and flooring while also making your storefront much more welcoming to clientele.
